Once I place an order, how long does it take to arrive?
Each ring is custom made to order and takes 3-4 weeks. If you need it sooner, please contact us and we will do everything we can to rush it for you. Sometimes, a rush fee applies (typically $200-$300).
Can I customize one of your rings?
Yes! At the bottom of every product page, there is a link that says "Want to customize this ring?" Simply click on that and submit the form and we will be in touch to work out the details so you get exactly what you want. Examples of customization are changing the shape, size, or type of center stone, changing the side diamonds to gemstones, adding elements of new design, making the ring in platinum, etc.
Do you do custom designs from scratch if I have a completely different idea from anything on your website?
Yes! See our "design a ring page" for details and for a form to submit to get that process started. Or you can email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. It is helpful if you know as many details as possible and have a preliminary budget. Our incredible team of designers can make just about anything (no hovering diamonds) and you'll get to work directly with Jerry Taylor, one of the owners, during this process.
How does the custom process work and how do I know I'm going to love the ring?
Whether you're customizing one of our designs, or we're helping you with your own unique idea, we make the custom process very simple and fun. After we gather the initial details regarding the design, we will send a detailed quote so you know exactly how much it will cost. Once you approve the price, we require 1/2 of the balance up front to begin the digital rendering of the ring. The digital rendering looks almost like a photograph of the finished ring and will show you what the ring looks like from several different angles, and even what it looks like on a hand that is your size. We do up to 5 free revisions (very very rarely does it take more than that) on the design to make sure that it is perfect for you. Each additional revision is $50. Once you approve the design, we finish making the ring and send you pictures before we ship it to you. We have invested in the best digital design software and manufacturing technology to ensure that each ring we make is to the highest standards. Our master craftsmen and craftswomen are the best in the industry and treat each ring as if it is their own. And we stand behind what we make 100%. If for any reason, the finished ring doesn't look like the approved digital rendering, we will remake the ring free of charge.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We offer a free 2 year warranty that covers resizing, polishing, cleaning, rhodium plating (for white gold rings), tightening loose diamonds or gems, replacement of missing side stones (center stone not included), free certified appraisal and certificate of authenticity. After 2 years, we will still take great care of your ring should it need any maintenance at a steep discount. You are responsible for shipping charges (usually $20-$30 each way). We recommend that you have us, or a local jeweler inspect your ring annually to make sure that everything is looking as it should. Should any work need to be done, please email the owner Jerry directly at email@example.com to arrange for the work to be done.
If I have my own center stone, can I use it?
Of course. While we can't warranty your center stone, we are more than happy to make the ring for you without the center stone. We always prefer to set it as this step requires exceptional precision and we want the finished ring to look as beautiful as possible. And we will set your stone for free if there are no concerns after examining it (some diamonds or gemstones are chipped or damaged, in which case, we can't set them). But if you prefer to have a local jeweler set your stone, we will ship you the ring for you to have the stone set. After you find the ring you'd like, simply click on the "Want to customize this ring?" tab at the bottom of the product page and fill out the form. We will then be in touch to arrange the order.
What payments do you accept?
Every sale through our site is processed by Stripe, one of the largest 3rd party payment processors in the world. If you'd prefer to use a different payment method, we can use PayPal or Quickbooks payment services as well. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org specifying which method you'd like to use, and we will send an invoice that allows for online payment through PayPal or Quickbooks.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes! We have shipped rings to Canada, England, Australia, Jamaica (shout out to Omar!), South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and several other countries. Please be aware that you are responsible for any taxes or fees incurred. International shipping is $150-$250 depending on your location.
What are Lab Grown Diamonds?
There is a lot of confusing information regarding lab grown diamonds and simulated diamonds. Lab Grown Diamonds are 100% genuine diamonds that are cultured in a lab using carbon atoms. They are then cut and polished just like diamond rough mined from the earth. Our Graduate Gemologists on staff cannot visually tell the difference between a lab grown diamond and an earth mined diamond of similar quality. They look exactly like a diamond because they are a diamond ;) but are about 20% less than mined diamonds of the same quality. Even though we only use ethically sourced mined diamonds in our rings, some people prefer lab grown diamonds because they are guaranteed not to come from conflict areas or have the negative environmental impact that some mined diamonds have.
Simulated diamonds, on the other hand, are NOT diamonds. They resemble diamonds in the way they look, but are made from very different materials. Cubic zirconium (CZ) and Moissanite are the most common diamond simulants. While they can be great diamond alternatives, especially Moissanite, they are NOT the same thing as a mined diamond, or lab grown diamond.
Why do some products have a Lab Grown Diamond as an options and other don't?
While we have extensive access to the best Lab Grown Diamonds, some shapes and sizes are still hard to come by. But if a ring that you are interested in getting with a lab grown diamonds and there isn't an option on the product page, simply fill out the "Want to customize this ring?" form and specify that you'd like a lab grown diamond. We'll then scour the markets and do everything we can to find the right one for you.
Why are there only SI-1 clarity, H color diamonds to choose from?
After more than a decade of diamond buying, we've found that this is the sweet spot. You get an absolutely gorgeous diamond and similar look of a diamond that has a higher color and clarity grade, without paying an increased price. But, we want you to get exactly what you want, so if you'd like a different grade of diamond, please fill out the "Want to customize this ring?" form with the desired grade of diamond, and we will send a quote with full details of the diamond you're looking for.
Can I get a different size of center stone than what is listed and if I do, how will I know what it will look like?
Yes! We can customize any of our rings for just about any size of diamond. Fill out the "Want to customize this ring?" form at the bottom of the product page and specify the size of diamond that you'd like and we will be in touch with a detailed quote of several options.
What retail stores can I find your rings to try on?
To keep costs as low as possible and the quality and craftsmanship at the highest standards, we don't sell our rings to retailers. They would simply act as a middle-man, which would drastically increase the price for you. We want you to get an amazing ring at well-below retail price. So to best serve our customers, we sell directly to you.
